The Storm Crow Tavern is east Vancouver’s premier nerd-bar located at 1305 Commercial Drive.

I am the head bartender there and it’s an awesome place that’s full of very cool, highly literate people who have really interesting taste in games, music, movies and books. Among other things.

Sunday nights are always unique. As the final night of the weekend people tend to want to get together with their friends for dinner and a few drinks – maybe a quick game of Cards Against Humanity – in a comfortable environment.

To that end I have come up with a little project called: Storm Crow Sunday Night Playlist.

In an attempt to ‘curate’ the ambience on Sunday nights I will create video and music playlists for the bar and share them via my blog and the social media channels.

I will create the soundtrack using the paid music streaming site, RDIO. The videos that we show that night will be from our own library or our friends at Black Dog Video.

I think that the incongruence of the great music + unrelated great visuals plus the sharing ahead of time will create some interesting effects.

Once the project gets going I will welcome input and suggestions for the playlists from our customers and friends.

I’m hoping that some unique creative tensions and a lot of fun will result in this little project.
